While I'm not a full time van lifer, I love taking road trips, writing in the gorgeous wild areas in North America, exploring cities, small towns, and seeing friends. I've learned much about how to live in a van and travel solo.
Read vanlife stories in my newsletter.
And coming soon, a really cool video...
In the late 1980's I worked as a Tour Manager for a rock band, which probably inspired my love for the road and my trips as a solo traveler in Rideaux, my custom van.
I take Rideaux along the coast, into cities, small towns, deserts, and mountains across North America, usually on the West Coast.
Sometimes I meet up with friends or family who also own vans and travel a bit with them. It allows me to teach my online classes from wherever I am, and it's always an inspiring place to write.
My favorite place to camp is in my 'van down by a river.'
If you're interested in knowing more about van life, how to design the perfect van for your life, what components to consider including - or doing without - how to road trip and camp safely (especially as a solo female traveler,) etc., please sign up for a private consultation / conversation. I love talking van life and sharing my expertise.
I chose the color scheme for the interior of Rideaux based on this tea kettle, which I'd had in my little trailer before I made the move into a van.
