One of my favorite things about travel is trying new food, discovering ingredients I never knew existed, experiencing local restaurants, and collecting recipes of the most iconic dishes.

THE. BEST. SHRIMP & GRITS, NEW ORLEANS, US
Brittany sat next to me on a plane ride to New Orleans and invited me to visit her bistro during my visit. I'm so glad I did! Nothing could check the boxes better as comfort food than her creamy Shrimp & Grits. It was one of the best meals I've ever had.

There's nothing more satisfying or classically American than a freshly baked Chocolate Chip Cookie. I'll bet there is always a batch baking in some home in the USA.

INTERACTIVE INAMO, LONDON, UK
One of my favorite places to take a group in London is Inamo, a crazy fun restaurant that serves Japanese, Chinese & Thai cuisine from unique interactive tables. The table top is a track pad that you can use to order dishes and drinks as you want them, watch the chefs via a video cam, change the design of the tablecloth (and project it onto your face,) and play games
TRADITIONAL NEWARI MEAL, BHAKTAPUR, NEPAL
One of the delightful surprises of travel is being introduced to dishes that are unlike anything you've ever tasted before. This is what Newari food was for me. The combination of flavors and textures (like crunchy flattened dry rice!) was so interesting.
